SIM life cycle

    Forecast & order

    Forecast demand and order SIM batches from suppliers.

    Load

    Load SIM data into inventory and network databases.

    Distribute

    Ship to stores, dealers and warehouses.

    Assign

    Pair a SIM with a customer and number at activation.

    Replace & recycle

    Handle swaps, losses and recycling.

Number port-in

  1. 1
    Eligibility

    Check the number can be ported and the customer details match.

  2. 2
    Request

    Submit the port request to the clearing house or donor operator.

  3. 3
    Schedule

    Agree the port date and time.

  4. 4
    Activate

    Activate service on the new network at the port time.

  5. 5
    Complete

    Confirm routing and close the request.

Port exceptions

Generic work instructions for common cases.

Hold a port-in

Pause the port and give the customer a temporary number so they can use service now.

Modify and resubmit

Correct rejected details (account number, PIN, name) and resubmit.

Cancel a port-in

Cancel the port and, if wanted, make the temporary number permanent.
