Point of Sale

Design Principles

Key architectural decisions behind POS

Dedicated Verification Device

Identity verification is performed on a separate dedicated device, not the POS terminal. This prevents shop agents from handling customer data directly and isolates sensitive KYC data from the sales workflow — reducing the risk of data misuse and simplifying regulatory compliance.

Zero Local Data Retention

The POS terminal retains no customer data after the transaction is complete. IC chip data, identity images and session state are cleared immediately after KYC. Card credentials are tokenised in-session. The terminal is stateless from a subscriber data perspective.

In-store as a First-class Channel

The in-store channel has its own channel identifier, pricing rules and eligibility conditions in the product catalog. Plans, promotions and KYC requirements specific to in-person sales are configured independently — the POS does not share configuration with digital channels.
