Telco & Software Services is founded and owned by Rahul Sharma, India. PocketToday helps you keep track of what you spend each day. It is made by Telco & Software Services , an individual developer in India ("I", "me"). Contact: rprrahul18@gmail.com / contact@telcosoftservices.com.

The short version

How payments are added

Only by you: you type a payment in, or paste an order confirmation or a message you copied yourself (PocketToday picks out the amount and shop on your phone and doesn't keep the text). PocketToday doesn't make payments, doesn't connect to your bank or payment apps, and doesn't use the camera.

What is stored, and where

Only on your phone, in PocketToday's own storage: your payments (amount, shop or person, category, date, how you paid, any note, and the amount in your home currency for payments in other currencies), exchange rates already downloaded, and your settings (such as your country, limits and notification times). Nothing about your spending is stored anywhere else.

Notifications

The evening, weekly and monthly totals, limit and budget warnings, reminders for your regular payments and new badges are created on your phone. No notification service or server is involved.

PocketToday Plus (purchases)

Everyone's first month of Plus is free, with nothing to sign up for. After that, Plus can be bought as a subscription or a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play, which handle the payment under their own privacy policies. PocketToday uses RevenueCat to know whether you have Plus: it receives a random ID for the app on your phone and your purchase details from the store (product, date, price, country), never your spending. You can cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account.

Backups and sharing

"Back up to a file" makes one file with your payments and settings, and you choose where to save or send it (for example iCloud Drive, Google Drive or email); after that it's handled by the service you chose. "Restore from a backup" reads a file you pick. Share pictures (badges, streaks, your monthly recap) are made on your phone and leave it only if you share them; amounts are left off unless you choose to show them.

Deals links

For some shops (such as Amazon or Flipkart), a payment may show a "See today's deals" link. Tapping it opens the shop's website or app; nothing about you or your spending is sent. If you buy something there, I may earn a small commission at no cost to you.

Exchange rates

Totals are in the currency of the country you choose. When you add a payment in another currency, PocketToday downloads that day's exchange rate from the free, public exchange-rate files of the open-source exchange-api project, served by jsDelivr and Cloudflare. The request contains only the date and the currency (for example "US dollar on 5 October 2026"), never the amount, the shop or anything about you; like any download, it reaches those services from your phone's internet address. Rates are kept on your phone so each is downloaded once.

Ads

The free version of PocketToday shows ads from Google AdMob: a small banner at the bottom of most screens (now and then it opens taller for a moment, with Google's own button to shrink it back), and box ads marked "Ad" between sections of longer screens such as Today, Insights, Statements and your recap. Now and then (together at most one every two hours, and never in your first days) a full-screen ad may appear when you open the app, after you save a payment, or when you leave Insights, a statement or your recap. You can also choose to watch a short ad to unlock full Insights, or statements for any dates, for a day. There are never ads while you add a payment, while you set up the app, or on the Plus screen. There are no ads with Plus. Ads are chosen by Google; PocketToday never gives Google or advertisers your payments, amounts, shops or anything else you enter. Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, rough location (from your internet address) and how you interact with ads, as described in Google's policy.

Statements

PDF and CSV statements are made on your phone. They leave it only if you choose to save or send them, for example by email; after that they're handled by the app or service you chose.

Services I use

None that receive your payments. Google AdMob shows ads, RevenueCat checks Plus purchases, and the exchange-rate files are downloaded, all as described above. The App Store and Google Play handle downloads and payments under their own privacy policies.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings → Delete all my data deletes every payment and setting saved by PocketToday on your phone. Deleting the app does the same. As your spending isn't stored anywhere else, there is nothing more to delete. For data Google keeps about ads, see Google's policy; you can reset your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

Children

PocketToday is meant for adults and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the GDPR), you may have rights to see, correct or delete your data. Since everything is on your phone, you can see, change and delete it yourself in the app. For anything else, email me.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
