TaleTeller reads books aloud: you scan a book's pages, open a book file, or pick a free classic, and listen. It is made by Telco & Software Services (founder and owner: Rahul Sharma), an independent developer in India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your data. Things the app looks up on the internet

Ads

TaleTeller shows ads from Google AdMob: a small banner on the Library and Free books screens, an ad while the reading is paused, and, for adults, an ad when the app opens. Ads are never shown while a book is being read aloud. Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, rough location (from your IP address) and how you interact with ads, as described in Google's policy.

Children

Children may use TaleTeller with their family. The app asks each listener's year of birth with a neutral question. For children it shows only child-safe, non-personalised ads, no full-screen ads and no shopping links, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what a parent sets up in a family account. A parent can ask me to delete a child's data at any time.

Deleting your data

Security and storage

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database rules make sure only you can read your own progress, and only your family can read your family's books.
