EquiShare (EquiShare: Split Bills & Trips) is made by Telco & Software Services (founder and owner: Rahul Sharma), an independent developer in India ("we", "us"). You can delete your
EquiShare account at any time, in the app or by email.
In the app (straight away)
- Open EquiShare and tap your picture at the top of the Home screen (Account).
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Read the message and confirm.
By email (if you no longer have the app)
Write to contact@telcosoftservices.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject
"Delete my EquiShare account". I'll delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in: your email address, password and login.
- Your phone number and your profile (country, currency, colour and notification settings).
- Your notifications and your push notification token.
What is kept, and for how long
- Shared expenses. Expenses you shared with friends stay in their lists so that their balances still add up. Your name on them
changes to "Deleted user" and is no longer linked to you.
- Receipts. A receipt attached to a shared expense stays with that expense and is deleted automatically 30 days after the expense is
settled. To remove a receipt sooner, open the expense and remove it, or delete the expense, before you delete your account.
- Purchase records. Records of EquiShare Pro purchases are kept by Google Play / the App Store and by RevenueCat, our purchase
provider, as required for tax and accounting.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
In the app you can delete any expense you added (open it, then tap the bin) and remove a receipt from an expense when you edit it. Deleted expenses disappear for everyone in them.
On your phone
Settings stored on your phone are removed when you uninstall the app.
