EquiShare helps friends split expenses. It is made by Telco & Software Services (founder and owner: Rahul Sharma), an independent developer in India ("we", "us").

What I collect
- Account: your name and email address, used to sign you in with a code sent by email.
- Your content: groups, expenses, split amounts, notes, comments and receipt photos you add.
People in the same group can see that group's expenses, comments and balances.
- Friends' details: if you add a friend by phone number or email, it is stored only to connect them
to the group. EquiShare does not read your contacts book.
- Purchases: whether you have EquiShare Pro, handled by RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play.
- Ads: the free version shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob uses a device advertising ID, and also receives your device's approximate
location (worked out from your internet address, never your GPS), how you interact with ads, and crash and performance data. On iPhone, tracking happens only
if you allow it. Your expenses, friends and receipts are never sent to AdMob. EquiShare Pro has no ads.
What I don't do
- I don't sell your data.
- I don't collect your location.
- Receipt text is read on your phone; the photo is stored only if you attach it to an expense.
- Receipts are deleted automatically 30 days after the expense is settled, to keep storage small. The expense itself stays.
Where it is stored
Data is stored with Supabase (database and sign-in) and encrypted in transit. Payments are not made through EquiShare;
it only keeps track of who owes whom.
How long receipts are kept
A receipt photo or file is kept while its expense is still open. Once everyone in the expense has paid back what they owed, the receipt is removed 30 days later. If a new payment or expense makes the money owed again, the 30 days start over.
Deleted expenses and payments
When you delete an expense it moves to “Recently deleted” in the app, where it can be restored for 30 days. Its receipt is removed after 30 days, and the expense itself is erased for good after 60 days. A payment you remove is hidden from everyone's balances straight away.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Account → Delete account. This removes your account and your data. You can also email me and I will
delete it.
Children
EquiShare is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will change.
